Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) is upping flight frequency on its Tokyo Narita-Los Angeles route starting October 29 this year, bringing its total number of daily flights operating from Tokyo to the US west coast city to three.

ANA currently flies to Los Angeles once per day each from Tokyo Haneda International Airport and Tokyo Narita International Airport, meaning the new third daily service will double the number of flights from the airline’s Narita hub.

The new service will be the earliest of the three to depart Tokyo, though all will still fly out of the Japanese capital in the afternoon/evenings. Flight NH176 departs Tokyo at 1600 and arrives in Los Angeles at 0840, before NH176 flies out of Los Angeles at 1020, arriving back in Tokyo at 1520 the following day.

By comparison, ANA’s current service out of Narita leaves at 1705, while the Haneda flight takes off in the late evening at 2255.

As with these two existing services, the new daily flights will also be operated by a B777-300ER. ANA configures these in three variations – 264, 250 and 212 seats – and the new flights will be flown by the 250-seat variant: eight seats in first class (1-2-1), 52 in business (1-2-1 in a staggered formation), 24 in premium economy (2-4-2) and 166 in economy class (2-4-2).

A review of ANA’s B777-300ER business class is available here, and premium economy is available here.

Tickets aren’t yet available for the third daily service, but are expected to become available from July 3 onwards.
